Death of Capt. Agey
A Former Quincy Man at Kankakee, IL
Remains Will be Shipped to This City for Burial Tomorrow

Jesse Laird of 129 1-3 North Sixth street received the sad news this morning of the death of his sister's husband, Capt. J. S. Agey, an old resident of Quincy, who died at 7 o'clock yesterday morning at Kankakee, Ill., where he had been ill in a sanitarium for about a year, suffering of nervous prostration. Capt. Agey was about 71 years old, and was in -the livery business in Quincy, on Hampshire street, between Third and Fourth, about 16 years ago, and is well remembered here. He moved from here to Lincoln, Neb., where he was employed as a traveling salesman by the Comstock-Castle Stove Co., and from there he moved to Chicago, and later to Kankakee. He was a member of the Methodist church and an Odd Fellow, and is survived by his widow and two daughters, Mrs. Clara Eddy, of Chicago, and Mrs. Lenora (Pearl) Siegler, who lives in Kentucky, having moved there recently. Mrs. Agey and Mrs. Eddy will accompany the remains to this city, where they will be laid away to-morrow in Woodland cemetery.
