Richard Pumphrey passed away Friday, September 1, in Crossville, TN. He was born in Evansville, IN on February 22, 1947 to the late James C. Pumphrey and Helen L. (Good) Pumphrey. He was raised in Carmi, IL.
After graduating from Carmi Township High School in 1965, he entered David Lipscond College graduating in 1969 with a BA in Education and History. Along the way he also obtained a divinity degree and ministered at several churches. He retired from Pennsylvania Lumberman Insurance Company as a Senior Field Representative.
Richard is survived by his wife Tricia; her son Dustin Monahan and her parents, Thomas and Peggy Monahon; daughters Jennifer Perigo and her children Jay and Kristina Perigo and Alec; Rebecka Frakes and her children Ian and Ayden McCulloch; a daughter by a previos marriage, Stephanie Ann Landingham and her child, Piper; his brother James R. Pumphrey (Janice); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
