Melinda was born on August 19, 1960 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Virginia Lea Lowery, and the late Roy Arthur Bates. She was a graduate of Yukon High school. She also attended real estate school during her life. She married Carl Wilson and they raised three children together. She helped Carl run his business for many years.
She loved classic rock, and even more she loved to read, there wasn’t a time very often she didn’t have a book in hand. She loved to watch Lifetime Movie Network as well as many different Crime Shows. She enjoyed art and poetry, but what she really loved the most was her own children and grandchildren. She supported her children in whatever they wanted. She was a spiritual woman who enjoyed reading her favorite Bible verses and sharing them with others. She will truly be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
She is survived by 3 siblings, Susie, Michelle, and Sam. Melinda and was a loving mother to her three children, Derek Sweetin, Ginger Nichols, and Billy Wilson. She was a proud grandma of four grandchildren, Ava Nichols, Deveney Sweetin, Michael Sweetin, and Lainey Nichols as well as her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is also survived by her fiancé Gary Lietke.
