Patrick Eugene Owens 50, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at his home. He was born April 22, 1967 in St. Joseph, MO, son of Patricia and Larry Owens. He worked at Liberty Fruit in the production department. He was a Ham Radio, and C.B radio operator known as "Big Rick". He enjoyed restoring cars and collecting model cars and Hot Wheels, he was a Christian. Patrick was preceded in death by father, Larry Owens. Survivors include, mother, Patricia "Tricia" Owens of the home, aunts, Jean Ezzell and Nadine Kepner, St. Joseph, MO, uncle, J.T. Adair, brother, Roy James, Springfield, step brother, Ronald C. Smith Jr., St. Joseph, former daughter in law, Naomi Bird, St. Joseph, MO, nieces, Zaynikka and Ziesha, nephews, Zarien and Nikko.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 pm Thursday, with funeral services to be conducted at 3:00 pm, on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Rupp Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Thursday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Mr. Owens will be cremated following the funeral service.
