MRS. HARRIET SMITH.

One of Bowmansville's oldest and most esteemed residents passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 1910, in the person of Mrs. Harriet Smith, beloved wife of the late Henry Smith, Sr. Having been a resident of Bowmansville for about sixty-five years, she was exceedingly well known and possessed many friends among the old and young.


She was a devoted wife and mother and her memory will remain precious to her family. Mourning her loss are two sons, William and Henry Smith of Bowmansville and one daughter, Mrs. George Winspear of Buffalo, two daughters, Mrs. E. Chapman and Mrs. H. Wiser, preceded her in death. Her husband passed away four years ago and his death was a great sorrow to the loving wife who had been his faithful helpmate so many years.


At the M. E. Church at Bowmansville on Friday afternoon at three o'clock, the last services were held, Rev. J. H. Crocker officiating. Burial was made at Bowmansville, the bearers being six grandsons of the deceased, Robert and Rosco Winspear, Herbert, Warren and Clifford smith and and Harvey Chapman.
