Walker, Myra Lois (Myrick),

89, of Evansville, IN, formerly of Louisville, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Brentwood Golden Living.

She was born on May 14, 1928 in Beech Creek, Kentucky to Lee Ashcraft and Edith Jemima (Hughes) Myrick. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.

She was a homemaker and worked outside the home, retiring from Army Air Force Exchange Service at the Fort Knox PX where she was a manager of the shoe department.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 67 years, Thomas W. Walker; sister, Virginia Lee Stokes.

Lois is survived by her son, Thomas W. Walker, II (Linda); grandson, Thomas W. Walker, III (Julie); great-grandchildren, Thomas "Will" Walker, IV, Janie Lois, and Gus Waldon.

A special thanks to Brentwood Golden Living Alzheimer's Care Unit for their love, compassion and wonderful care of Mom!

Services will be held at 10 a.m. CST Friday, September 22, 2017 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St. Newburgh, Ind. (812) 853-8314. Burial will be at 3 p.m. EST at Hardin Memorial Park Cemetery in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Minister Stephen Rogers will officiate. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. CST Thursday, September 21, 2017 and Friday 9 a.m. to service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Washington Ave. Church of Christ, 4001 Washington Ave. Evansville, IN.
