She was the daughter of Ruth and Larry Anderson of rural White City and was born Jan 16, 1945.
Carolyn was a member of the Dwight Sunflower 4-H Club, Marion Hill Lutheran Church and the Junior League of San Jose. She graduated from Dwight Rural High School where she was a cheerleader, homecoming queen and valedictorian. She attended Kansas Sate Teacher College in Emporia where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority.
Carolyn married Dr. Ted Dye in 1965 and traveled the country with him during his time in medical school. They eventually settled in Los Gatos, California. She was an excellent cook and loved to throw dinner parties. A life-long student, she earned her nursing degree, her real estate license and a substitute teaching credential. The job she loved the most was as a package designer for Hallmark Cards in Kansas City.
Carolyn was preceded in death by Dr. Dye (divorced) and her parents. She is survived by her daughter, Holly Giraud and husband Eric, France and Abby Ferrari and husband Chris, CA; four grandchildren: Janna and Iris Giraud and Ivy and Max Ferrari; her sister, Loretta Stephenson, NM; aunt Charlotte Fielder and uncles Albert Morgan, Jim Anderson and Jerry Anderson, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Carolyn's ashes will be laid to rest at Marion Hill Cemetery at a later date.
