Celebration of Life service to be held on the morning of December 13, 2013 at Seaside, Ocean View Baptist Church. Viewing to be held on Thursday afternoon and evening, December 12, 2013 at Mission Memorial Park and Seaside Funeral Home, Seaside, California.
Survivors include her children; two sisters (Callie Bea Phillips and Arie Wyatt); thirteen grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Preceded by her husband, Raymond Trotter; children - David Trotter (entombed next to her), Janet Newson, Bernadette Clarke, son-in-law Wilfred (Butch) Clarke, and grand-daughter Shante Clarke.
Mrs. Helen Ruth Trotter was 87 and died December 6, 2013. She was born October 6, 1926 to Mr. John and Hoppie Griffin in McCaskill, Arkansas. She was the thirteenth of fourteen children. She married Raymond Trotter on November 9, 1946 and they had six children. They traveled the world as a family while he was in the Army. They settled in Seaside, California in the early 1950's. In 1955, Helen joined the Ocean View Baptist Church. She served on the Usher Board and also sang in the choir.
