Kenneth W. Shepard, 87, of Medina Ohio passed away on September 18, 2017. He was born on September 7, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Paul and Elizabeth (nee Ivan) Shepard. He was firefighter for the Cleveland Fire Department and retired as a Department Battalion Chief for 27 years. He was an IAFF member for Local 93 and a thirteen year volunteer for Hospice of Medina County. He will be deeply missed by his wife Patricia, of 64 years; his sons Mark (Marlene) Shepard and Paul (Cherie) Shepard; daughter in law Sharon Shepard; and many cherished grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Michael and brother Jack. A private burial with military honors will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to John A. Gannon Comprehensive Burn Care Center at Metro Health Medical Center, 2500 Metrohealth Drive. Cleveland, Ohio 44109.
