Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 22, at Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia. Burial, with military honors by the U.S. Army, will be in Knob Noster Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to American Heart Association, Kidney Foundation, American Lung Association or the Diabetes Association.
In addition to his wife of 58 years, Dorlis, he is survived by three children, James David Lyle II (Kelly D.), of Independence, Brian Lyle, of Kansas City, and Laura Rhoads (Jeff), of Smithton; seven grandchildren, Krista, Kylie, Caleb, James David III, Kimi, Becky and Aaron; two great-grandchildren, Kara and Daxton; and his sister, Mary Lee Lyle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence David Lyle and Lourissa Nevils Lyle; and a brother, Glenn Marvis Lyle.
