Funeral services for Paula Rose Vance, 78, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 25, 2017 at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Rev. Paul Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.

She passed away early Tuesday morning, September 19, 2017, at her residence.

Rose was born August 21, 1939, in Mesquite, Texas, the daughter of Arton A. Driggars and Mary Ellen Berry Driggars. She was raised in Mesquite and attended Mesquite High School. On December 27, 1955, she married Leland Dale Vance in Mesquite. Rose was a homemaker and enjoyed knitting, reading and working crossword puzzles. Prior to moving to Wills Point twenty-two years ago she lived in Garland. She was a member of the Daughter of the Nile and Eastern Star. Rose was also a member of Seven Oaks Baptist Church north of Wills Point.

Preceded in death by her parents, Arton and Mary Ellen Driggars; brother, Berry Driggars and a sister, Lois Driggars.

Rose is survived by her husband, Dale Vance, of Wills Point; son, Wesley Vance & wife, Nancy, of Weatherford; two daughters, Paula Duncan & husband, Jackie, of Garland and Barbara Therrien & husband, Richard, of Ft. Worth; sister, Joy O’Pry & husband, Floyd, Nacogdoches; eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
