Obituary
Roger D. Fink, 64, Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord on Monday morning, September 18, 2017, following an extended illness. Roger was born in the Mill Creek Community and had lived in Kingsport his entire life. Roger worked for Vic Davis Construction until his illness. He was of the Baptist Faith and a Veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Gladys Fink, and sister, Debbie Winegar.
Roger is survived by his wife, Connie; 2 daughters, Mrs. Buffy Jones and husband, Jason, and Tonya Berry and husband, Shawn; son, Anthony Melton; 2 granddaughters, Mercedes Mullen and Abigail Jones; 1 grandson, R. J. Berry; 2 sisters, Sue Fink of Mt. Carmel, Margaret Henson and husband, Ronnie of Church Hill; and brother, Ricky Fink of Mt. Carmel.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 8:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm with Pastor Mike Stout officiating.
The graveside service will be conducted on Friday at 11:00 am at Poplar Grove Cemetery. Military Graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Posts 3/265.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Melton, R.J. Berry, Andrew Mullen, Shawn Berry, Jason Jones, Jo Jo Fink, Robby Fink and Ricky Fink.
