OBITUARY: - DOUCETTE, Jean Mary (nee Docherty)
May 11, 1933 - September 8, 2017
Jean passed away peacefully on Friday, September 8, 2017 in the Rockyview General Hospital after a lengthy struggle with respiratory problems at the age of 84 years.
Jean was born and raised in Wetaskiwin and after High School joined a dental office as a receptionist. It was here that she met her soon to be husband who was stationed there temporarily with United Geophysical in the early days of oil exploration. Her life quickly changed from local involvement to wife and mother travelling all over Alberta and Saskatchewan and enjoying trailer life in a 40 ft. mobile home.
A later change in direction ended with a final move to Calgary in 1960 with a new home in Lakeview where they still reside.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 20 at St. James Catholic Church, 5504 - 20th Street SW, Calgary at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens
