Carl Kenton Barker, 50, of Kistler, departed this life unexpectedly on Sunday, September 17, 2017, at Kistler.

He was born on March 11, 1967, at Man, a son of Phyllis Elaine Fox of Kistler and the late Carl Basil Barker (1940-2014).

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl R. Fox (1925-Deceased) and Margaret Blankenship-Fox (1926-Deceased), and Basil Barker (1917-1993) and Garnet "Pearl" Fowler-Barker (1917-1980); and one nephew, Christopher Vance (Deceased).

Carl was a 1985 graduate of Man High School. He was a disabled construction worker. Carl enjoyed sports, hunting, 4-wheeling and anything to do with the outdoors and nature. He loved his pit bulls, Lucy and Shy.

Those left to cherish his memory, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Rhonda "Candy" McCoy-Barker; six children, Keely Barker, Nicolas Barker-Rodriguez, Samantha McCoy, Alexis McCoy, Megan McCoy, and Abigail McCoy; one sister, Connie Barker-DeLong & Karl DeLong of Pelion, SC; and one niece, Tiffany DeLong-Amyx & Daniel Amyx of Pelion, SC; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2017, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Mike Pollard and Rev. Earl Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
