Tami, a resident of Otis, Oregon, passed to her Heavenly Father Thursday, September 14, 2017 at her home.
Daughter of James and Patricia Wood, She was born March 16, 1964 in Eugene, Oregon.
Tami was raised and attended school in Dallas, Oregon. Her last year and a half she attended Salem Academy where she graduated in 1983.
In her younger years she hated strawberry picking but loved swimming and competed on the Dallas Blue Dolphins swim team. Tami entered the US Army in 1989, training to be an operating room specialist which continued until she left the military in 1990.
She became the mother of James RC Wood on July 23, 1991. Tami was a proud and loving mother until James’ passing on May 11, 2004.
Tami married Troy Brooks on November 1, 1995 in Eugene, Oregon. They had many wonderful years together living at the Oregon Coast. Tami truly enjoyed life and was always there for others. She had a big heart, especially for those in need.
Tami is survived by her husband Troy, mother Patricia Wood, sisters Susan Wood and Erica Archer, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son James RC Wood, father James Wood, brother Richard Wood, and her grandparents.
Tami will be missed by her family and many friends, she brought the spice to life.
A celebration of life will be held at Valley Life Center in Dallas on Saturday, September 23rd at 2 pm. The Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center is caring for the family. www.dallastribute.com
