Roger Gayle Watson, 52, passed away peacefully at his home in Crockett Mills, TN.
He was born December 26th, 1964, to Gayle and Anita Lilley Watson of Crockett Mills.
He is survived by his son Jacob Watson (Demi) Jersey and his sisters Kim Johnston (Greg) and Gayla Kail (Ben) and his nephews and nieces who were his world, Logan and Connor Johnston, Maggie, Jada, Jack, and Clay Kail. Roger has many aunts, uncles, and cousins who were a special part of his life growing up in Crockett Mills. His grandparents Milton and Lyndell Watson and Woodrow and Hazel Lilley preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held at Providence Baptist Church in Crockett Mills Tuesday, September 19th from 5:00 to 8:00pm. Funeral services will be held at Providence on Wednesday, September 20th at 1:00 pm with visitation beginning on Wednesday at 12:00 pm.
Pallbearers for the service will be Ben Kail, Logan Johnston, Shawnee Brasfield, Jeff Burress, Alan Whitby, and David Cotten.
Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Privett, Greg Allen, Steven Park, Jamie Moore, Justin Moore, Rickey King, and Justin Jones.
Roger never met a stranger and always had an uplifting attitude, his sense of humor and laughter are something we will never forget. He was always there for his family and many friends that loved him. Roger had a love for the outdoors that he shared with his nephews and nieces. Uncle Roger was loved a lot by Logan, Connor, Maggie, Jada, Jack and Clay. Although his time with them was cut short they made many memories with him that they will carry in their hearts forever.
To know Roger was to love Roger. We will share his many, many funny stories and quotes for years to come. We will miss him tremendously.
