Mr. John Thurman, age 60 years, died suddenly Sunday night of heart trouble at his home near Samuels. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Bettie Thompson (sic?), two sisters, Mrs. Carlyle Johnson and Mrs. Mathis and two brothers, Messrs. Ed and Charley Thurman.
Funeral was Monday evening at 3 o’clock from St. Gregory’s Church of which he was a member. Interment took place in the adjoining cemetery.
