In addition, for Suzy, the category of "friends and family" extended to a series of cats, often strays that she adopted and loved with the same fierce loyalty that she brought to every other corner of her life.

Suzy is survived by her parents, Jack and Pierrette Wolfe; four sisters, Mary Wolfe of Clinton, IA, Katie (John Mote) of Washington, D.C., Christy (Dan Carroll) of Cedar Rapids, IA and Jennifer Wolfe of Iowa City, IA, as well as two brothers Kevin (Deirdre Egan) Wolfe of Iowa City, IA and John (Rita Platt) of St. Croix Falls, WI; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Clinton YWCA Crisis Center or L'Arche of Clinton, IA.
