Dr. Williams, a member of Kappa Alpha Psi, graduated from Johnson C. Smith University, BS in Zoology, the University of Pittsburgh, MA in Zoology and Meharry Medical College. He specialized in pathology and was the Chief of Pathology at Norfolk Community Hospital from 1965 until 1998. He was a life member of the Virginia Pathology Association, the National Medical Association, American Medical Association, the Norfolk Medical Association, and other scholarly and medical organizations.
Dr. Williams was a U.S. Army combat veteran having served in Europe during World War II. He received numerous letters and honors of commendation. His passions were his work, reading medical research journals, classical music, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
If Anderson could speak to you today, he would say, "Do not fear, for I am with God. Be strong, do not be dismayed, I will help God uphold you in righteousness."
A funeral pray service will be conducted Wednesday September 20, 2017 at 2:00 PM at St. John's Catholic Church 1968 Sandbridge Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23456. A visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Laskin Road Chapel. Interment will be Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milners Road, Suffolk, VA 23434. Contributions in his memory may be made to St. John's Catholic Church.
