Chester Howard Carver was born November 6, 1924 in Carver, Oklahoma. He saw his last sunrise on August 22, 2015. He died at the age of 90 from natural causes in Moreno Valley, California.

He grew up in Carver and Granite, OK and Hawthorne, CA. He met his wife of 68 years in Willow, OK while he was farming after he got out of the Navy. They married in 1947 in Wellington, Texas. In 1954 he decided to move to southern California and quit farming. They lived in Lynwood, Culver City and Carson, CA. He retired in 1986 from Hughes Aircraft Company in 1986 where he held the position of Gardener for 27 years. After retirement he moved to Morena Valley, CA.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Debra Carver, Greenville Indiana.

Survived by his wife, Melba Joyce Wright Carver, of 68 years, four children: Charles Carver (Priscilla) Oroville, CA; Thomas Ray Carver of Mangum, OK; Howard Carver of Long Beach, CA; Belinda Sudduth (David) of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA and his sister Mildred Joyce White. 94 years old of Wheaton, Illinois. He had nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
