Funeral services for Mr. Richard Wayne " Ricky" Spurlock, age 48, of Mer Rouge, will be held 2 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2007 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home, Bastrop with the Rev. Douglas Jones and Rev. Mark Shrock officiating. Interment will follow at the Bonne-Idee Harp Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home, Bastrop.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday evening from 5 p.m. till 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ricky was born April 13, 1958 in Alameda, California and he passed away Saturday, March 10, 2007 in Mer Rouge. Ricky was the owner and operator of Rick's Body Shop in Bastrop. He was precededed in death by his maternal grandfather; Henry Burgess, paternal grandparents; Buck and Henriette Spurlock, sister; Becky Spurlock, and a nephew; Cody Spurlock.
Ricky is survived by his wife; Lynne Spurlock, five children; Matthew and Jeffrey Walker of Bastrop, Allen Spurlock of Bastrop, Anna Spurlock of Bastrop, and Ramona Bowen and husband, Stephen of Oak Ridge, his parents; Bobby and Martha Spurlock of Bastrop, three brothers; Scott Spurlock of Gulf Shores, Alabama, Marty Spurlock of Monticello, Arkansas, Christopher Spurlock of Sterlington, and three grandchildren.
