Obituary in Lufkin Daily News, June 17, 1929
J. H. Richardson, 38 year old resident of Veatch, died Sunday in Angelina County Hospital. He was a member of the Methodist church.
He is survived by his wife and three children, his father, Tom Richardson, former commissioner from the Zavalla precinct; one brother, Sam of Doucette and six sisters, Mrs. W. A. Foster of Lufkin, Mrs. B. B. Stanfield of Nacogdoches, Mrs. R. C. Weeks of Zavalla, Mrs. Sara Stringer of Zavalla, Mrs. Clarence Marshall of Doucette.
Funeral services were conducted at the Zavalla Cemetery at 11 o'clock Monday morning with burial there under the direction of Humason-Berry.
