David Allen Engle, 41, of Lavon, Texas since 1997, passed away September 17, 2017. He was born October 10, 1975, in Madisonville, Kentucky to Lonnie Joe and Ruth Eva (Harrell) Engle. David was a member of First Baptist Church of Lavon, where he enjoyed serving as a RA leader on Wednesday nights. He was very smart and loved to read. Happy and silly, David loved to have a good time. A good man with a good heart, his daughter was his whole world. David was a loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle and will be greatly missed. David was survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Pamela Engle; adoring daughter, Jodee Engle; mother, Ruth Engle; brother, Joe Engle and wife Lisa; mother-in-law, Janett Morris and husband Morgan; father-in-law, David Woodruff and wife Nelda; brother-in-law, Bobby Hughes; sister-in-law, Kellie Powell; nieces and nephews, Kevin, Scott, Elizabeth, Gage, C.K., Kelby and Meghan; and aunts and uncles, Danny and Teri Harrell and Colan and Jovetta Harrell. He was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Engle; and sister, Kelen Engle. Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 22, 2017, at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rockwall Chapel, with Brad Patterson officiating. Interment followed at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
