Funeral services for Mr. Elton F. Adams will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Allen Dees and Rev. Billy Henry officiating. Interment in White Oak Cemetery. Visitation 5-8 PM Monday, September 18, 2017 at John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services.

Mr. Adams, 83, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017 at G.V. Sonny Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, MS.

He lived in the Edinburg Community most of his life. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a civil engineer. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Adams was a member of American Legion, N.R.A. and White Oak Baptist Church.

Preceded in death: Parents, Lee Earl Adams and Colie Thompson Adams;

Brother, Jim L. Adams;

Great-Great-Grandson, Cooper Moore.


Survivors:

Wife, Bettie Adams of Edinburg;

Daughters, Pamela Quick (Milton) of Carthage and Patty Wilcher of Brandon;

Son, Craig Adams (Stephanie) of Carthage;

Sister, Sarah Dalton of Edinburg;

Brothers, Edsel Adams of Plattsburg and Billy Adams of Edinburg;

(7) Grandchildren;

(10)Great-Grandchildren; Host of nieces and nephews.
