Angela Hadley Howell

October 14, 1961 ~ September 13, 2013

Angela Hadley Howell passed away peacefully on Friday, September 13, 2013 in her home, surrounded by family after a courageous fight against melanoma.

She was born to Wayne and Lou Ann Hadley on October 14, 1961 in Salt Lake City, UT. She was the third of five children: Debbie, Gay Ann, Staci Lou and Kirk.

Angie grew up and attended School in Sandy, UT. Her mother married Juan Hansen in 1979 and Angie moved to Monticello for her senior year. She was a great help to her mother, while adjusting to a new family.

She soon returned to Salt Lake, where she married the love of her life, Steve Howell. From that love came their only daughter, Traci Nicole. Angie loved being a mom. When Traci married, Angie was over the moon to have a son, Matt, as well.

In her spare time she was always crafting. She enjoyed cross stitch, quilting, and crocheting. She made sure everyone had a quilt, baby blanket or Christmas stocking that she made with love.

She and her sisters, Debbie and Gay, started a sisters night once a week several years ago where they would craft together or take different classes on quilting and such. They loved their time together each week. She was also a baker and loved to share that as well.

Angie and Dad Juan enjoyed sharing their love of reading. They could spend a whole evening talking about the books they read. Juan always came home with books she shared.

Angie worked at Woodside Homes for the last 17 years and cared about the people she worked with. She was always the first at work and always went over and above what she was asked to do. Her co-workers will miss her smiling, cheery personality.

In November, 2012, she was blessed with her first granddaughter, Miss Harper Paige. She loved being a grandma and spent every moment she could with her.

Angie was a loving person who made friends with everyone she met. She was a great wife, mother, grandma, sister, daughter and aunt, and we were all so lucky to have had her in our lives. Thanks for all the love and support from family, friends and care givers. She will be deeply missed by all.

A celebration of life will be held for family and close friends at a later date.
