Branch, LA--Funeral services for Eric Wilson Low, 54, will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 1:00 PM in Elizabeth Memorial Baptist Church, Branch, LA. Reverend Sigmund Richard will officiate. Interment will follow in Elizabeth Memorial Baptist Cemetery, Branch, LA.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM in Gossen Funeral Home, Rayne. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until 12:30 PM in the funeral home.
Eric passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017 in an Alexandria, LA hospital.
Eric was a member of Elizabeth Memorial Baptist Church. He was a loving and joyous person who loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. Eric participated in Special Olympics, and he enjoyed fishing, swimming, and playing baseball. He was a fan of the New Orleans Saints and the Ole Miss Rebels, but he was an avid fan of the LSU Tigers, and often wore the purple and gold to show his true allegiance. Eric will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his sisters, Debbie Low Breaux and husband, Michael of Rayne, Laurie Low Doucet and husband, Ronnie of Church Point, and Jackie Low Louviere and husband, Garry of Church Point; brother, Leonard "Lennie" Low and wife, Rebecca of Church Point; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Preceding Eric in death were his parents, Clyde G. Low and Ella Richard Low; and brother, Michael H. Low.
Serving as pallbearers are Dustin Bullock, Josh Breaux, Blake Louviere, Jordan Bullock, Robbie Andrus, and Kyle Helo. Named as honorary pallbearers are Scott Venable, Tony Neal, and Chris Lagrange.
