A service to celebrate Dorothy’s life will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 22, 2017 at Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 12:00 Noon until service time. Burial will be in North Fork Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Dorothy was born March 1, 1925, in Decatur, IL the daughter of Frank and Theresa (Kramer) Woolington. She married Robert Haynes in 1947. He preceded her in death in 1991. She was a life-long bookkeeper for Industrial Printing and Haynes Auto Body. An expanded obituary for Dorothy is available at www.dawsonwikoff.com.
Surviving are her daughters: Cheryl Slankard (Bill) of Clay City, IL and Susan Clark of Decatur; brother: Laverne Woolington of Decatur; eight grandchildren: Todd Janes (Aimee Pannbacker), Tiffany Cowger (David), Neil Clark, Marcia Ingle (Jeff), Gwen Scheibel (Jerome), Tori Gebhart (Brian), Stacia Janes (Tyler Foos), and William Slankard (Stephanie) and twenty-three great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and son-in-law: Bill.
