Obituary for Lorine Elsa (Itz) Crenwelge published in the Fredericksbug Standard (Fredericksburg, Texas) on September 20, 2017:

Mrs. Harold L. Crenwelge, 95, nee Lorine Elsa Itz of Fredericksburg, died Monday, Sept. 11, 2017.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home with the Rev. David Priem officiating.

Interment followed at Der Stadt Friedhof.

Visitation was held Friday evening and Saturday morning at the funeral chapel.

Mrs. Crenwelge was born Aug. 2, 1922, in Gillespie County (right outside Fredericksburg), the daughter of Arthur Itz and Elsa (Durst) Itz. She married Harold L. Crenwelge on March 30, 1944, at Bethany Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death Jan. 13, 1988.

She is survived by two daughters, one son and spouses/partner, including daughter Janice and Mark Langerhans of Fredericksburg; daughter Lynette and Jim Urquhart of Kerrville, and son Lester Crenwelge of College Station and his girlfriend Christie Anderson of Joaquin.

Survivors also include six grandchildren: Eric Pehl and spouse Jade, Angie (Pehl) Regmund, Heather (Crenwelge) Lewis and spouse Brian, Kris Crenwelge, Kay (Langerhans) Taylor and spouse Heath, and Carl Langerhans and spouse Carrie.

Eight great-grandchildren: Braxton Pehl, Kaylyn Pehl, Emma Regmund, Addy Regmund, Graham Taylor, Addison Taylor, Cadence Langerhans, and Angellei Lewis.

She is also survived by one sister, Janet Hoover of San Antonio; a brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Mathilda Itz of Fredericksburg; a sister-in-law, Roseda, Mrs. Elmer Itz of Fredericksburg, and a brother-in-law, Jim Faught of Doss.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Crenwelge was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer Itz and Marvin Itz, and three sisters, Mildred Zenner, Verdie Hutchison and Vernell Faught.

Memorials may be made to the Fredericksburg Fire Department, Hill Country Memorial Hospice, American Cancer Society or to the charity of choice.

Pallbearers included Eric Pehl, Carl Langerhans, Kris Crenwelge, Bruce Itz, Weldon Itz and Rodney Lively.

Honorary pallbearers were Terry Langehennig and Ricky Burgess.
