Mr. Henry was born in Nashville, TN on November 28, 1935, the son of the late Valie Henry and Chloe Peal Henry. Mr. Henry served in the United States Navy and retired from Nashville Metropolitan Fire Department after many years of service. He was a member of Temple Baptist and a member of the Shrine Club. Mr. Henry was an avid Vanderbilt fan and loved to travel. Mr. Henry was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Fay Henry; four sons, Mike Henry, Johnny Jones, Eddie Jones, and Bobby Jones; grandson, Michael Wayne Henry, Jr.; great-grandson, Marcus Henry; and sisters, Hazel Alcorn and Marie Cates.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Donny Vradenburg; ten grandchildren, Chris Jones, Robby Jones, Jonathan, Katie, Erica Illarramendi, Eric Henry, Nikki Funk, Lee Funk, Matthew Henry, and Angie Rutledge; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 29, 2017, at two thirty, Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Saturday from ten o’clock until the funeral hour at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
