David was raised in Upland, California, and graduated in 1969 from Chaffey High School in Upland. He moved to Oklahoma in the early 1980’s. He met Lanette Stewart in the Oklahoma, and the couple married on Valentine’s Day in the early 1990s. The couple was blessed with one son, Shawn Gossett.
David worked as an operator at Fair Meadows, and worked flea markets with his cousin some as well. He worked for an auto parts store and an auto parts warehouse. David enjoyed the outdoors. He liked fishing, camping and cooking out. He liked watching baseball and his favorite team was the LA Dodgers. He loved spending time with his family, especially his 3 granddaughters. He loved his mother’s cooking. He was a good cook as well, and he and his mother cooked Thanksgiving together each year. He was a loving, caring father, a loving husband, a wonderful son, and an excellent grandfather. He will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his father William C. Gossett. He is survived by his wife Lanette Gossett; mother Madge Gossett Hamilton; son Shawn Gosset; 3 granddaughters, Daisy, Rose and Wrentta; step-son Carl Ray Wagoner; and many other family and friends.
Funeral Services are scheduled on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Green Hill Memorial Gardens [Sapulpa, Oklahoma].
