She was born January 17, 1927 in Shenandoah County, Virginia, the daughter of the late Lloyd William and Lena Ellen Foltz Dellinger.
Rachel married Roy Cecil Andrews on November 17, 1951 in Front Royal, VA. He preceded her in death in 1999.
Rachel was a member of Christ UCC in Conicville, VA and long-time member of the church's Women's Guild.
She retired from the Aileen Company and Virginia State Police Division 7.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Alton Dellinger; and sisters, Christine Frye and Charlotte Swartz.
Rachel is survived by her sons, William H. Andrews of Woodstock and Burdette C. Andrews of Edinburg; daughter, Elizabeth Mandala of Romney, WV; grandchildren, Jay Andrews, Brittany Polk, Megan Mandala, and Tyler Mandala; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Marvene Gochenour and Joycie Jones; and brother, Glenn Weatherholtz. Rachel is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and very special friend and care giver, Sandy Hottle
The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Valley Funeral Service in Bowmans Crossing.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Christ UCC in Conicville, VA at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow in the church's cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ray and Rex Andrews, Rick Antonowicz, Charles Franklin, Clayton Frye and Matt Perron.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society Inc., 3 International Drive, Suite 200 Rye Brook NY 10573.
