Glenn Alford Fuller, born July 26, 1938, passed away December 15, 2016, in his home after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Cushing, Texas, to Lela and Vester Fuller, and he continued to live the remainder of his 78 years in Nacogdoches County. He graduated from Cushing High School where he was an exceptional athlete, and he continued his love for sports by coaching little league and little dribblers throughout his early years. He married his sweetheart Judy shortly after high school graduation. He attended Wharton County Junior College on a basketball scholarship and also attended Stephen F. Austin University. While at SFA, he volunteered his time with the Fire Department. He also held jobs at NIBCO, his privately owned timber business, and then eventually retired from the Texas Forest Services. He was an active member of the Nacogdoches Community Church until his death. His seven day journey in the walk to Emmaus shows evidence of his great, unwavering Christian faith. He enjoyed the simple things life had to offer; the gospel and teachings of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the thrill of a close game, the luck of a good draw of dominoes or cards, the tug of a fish on the line, the sport of hunting game, and the warmth of an embrace from the small arms of his offspring. He is preceded in death by his parents Lela Barnhart Fuller and Vester Odell Fuller; his children Ronald Glenn Fuller, Gary Craig Fuller and wife Lisa, Jeffrey Evan Fuller and wife Chelsea, and Darren Kyle Fuller; his brothers Dean Fuller and wife Mary; David Fuller and wife Jeanne; his sisters-in-law Betty Wellman, Ouida Dean and husband RG, Susie Evers and husband Charles, and close family friend Joyce Beene; as well as his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was loved while he was here on earth and will be missed terribly by all who had the good fortune of knowing him. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 21, from 10:00-11:00 AM and services are to follow from 11:00-12:00 at Nacogdoches Community Church on Northwest Stallings Drive.
