Senora is the daughter of Dr. William F Todd of Kentucky and Matilda Unknown of Ohio. She was actually born in 1850 in Indiana despite later records indicating she was younger and born in Missouri. Her brother, G R Todd, was born in 1859 in Chariton, MO.
Senora married widower Edwin Hiram Brooks on 20 Aug 1878 in Chariton, MO. They are the parents of Edwin Hiram Brooks, Jr and Nora M Brooks Davison. Mr. and Mrs. Brooks were sued in 1895 by an African American woman, Alice, who had worked for them in TX for 8 years and claimed she'd been paid no wages and was due $1375.25 (a rate of $3 per week). Mr. Brooks had been a farmer and stockman. He died in Texas in 1901 and Nora and the children would move to Montana.
Nora died of what was thought to be an accidental rifle shot wound in 1909.
Mrs. Brooks was admitted from Terry, MT and was in care here 4 yr 6 mo 5 days before succumbing to Acute Bronchitis.
