Jerry Guinn, age 72, departed this life on September 15, 2016 at his home in Grovespring, Missouri. He was born on May 22, 1945 in Grovespring and was the son of the late Velmer and Wilma Guinn. He professed his faith in Christ and was baptized at an early age. He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. He was united in marriage to Janice Guinn March 6, 1962 and two daughters, Janell and Sandra were born. He married Debra Altheide on May 23, 1981 and adopted two more daughters Holly and Angel.

Jerry attended Hartville High School; and worked road construction all of his adult life. He retired from Superior Bowen Asphalt in 2012; and moved to Bull Shoals Lake. He was a member of Operation Engineers Local Union 101.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing, and spending time with family. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Velmer and Wilma Guinn, and wife Debra Guinn.

He is survived by his four daughters, Janell Sheets, and husband Roy of Grovespring; Sandra Guinn of Grovespring, Holly Nash of Kansas City, and Angel Jenkins and significant other, Jeremey Hansken of Odessa. Eight Grandchildren; Amanda Vandergrift, and husband Will, Justin Moncier, Kyron Stillwell, Kameron Stillwell, Mikayla Young, Clayton Jenkins, Hunter Jenkins, and Easton Jenkins; five Great-Grandchildren; Kaden Stillwell, Kyanne Stillwell, Kaleigha Young, Kadah Young, and Lucas Vandergrift. Two brothers, Harold Guinn, and wife Jean of Springfield and Darrell Guinn of Wheatland. A sister; Kay Earls, and husband Buck of Conway. As well as, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorials can be made to Grovespring Lions Club for the City Park through Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Hartville.
