Dr. John Albert Biever, 70, of Annville passed away at home on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. He was born in Lebanon on August 25, 1947, a son of the late Victor P. and Lois S. Readinger Biever. Dr. Biever was a graduate of Lebanon Valley College and the Penn State College of Medicine. He was named a Distinguished Fellow by the American Psychiatric Association in 2003. Dr. Biever served as a consultant for many local and state organizations, was a published author and was an accomplished pianist. He served as a member on the Board of Directors for Compeer of Lebanon County. Most recently, Dr. Biever operated the Quittie Glen Center for Mental Health, where he practiced Child and General Psychiatry. He served his country in the U.S. Marines from 1969-1972.

John is survived by children, John Adam Biever and wife Danielle, Dr. Matthew Abraham Biever and wife Jana, Emily Elizabeth Biever; grandchildren, Madeline Victoria Biever, John Michael "Jack" Biever, Sofia Mae Biever, Victor Rowan Biever; brother, James and wife Michelle Biever; sister, Diane Biever Gottlieb and husband Dr. Jerome Gottlieb; and nieces, Suzanne and Noel. A memorial service will be held at Quittie Glen, 417 Reigerts Lane, Annville, PA 17003 on Sunday, September 24 at 3:00pm. Contributions may be made in John's memory to Compeer of Lebanon County, 4 South Fourth Street, Unit C, Lebanon, PA 17042.
