Tyler Robert Lowe, 30, of Knoxville (formerly of Pekin, Illinois and Nashville) passed away to be with our Lord Jesus on September 13, 2017.

Always a smile, always a friend, always a song, always a laugh, and loved by so many. Tyler was a loving and devoted husband to his beloved wife Jennifer Alaina (Boruff) Lowe, a very treasured and loved son to Roger and Sue Lowe (Pekin, Illinois) and special son-in-law to Dennis and Brenda Boruff, a wonderful brother to his sister Sara (Eric) Pullium (Manito, Illinois), a caring brother-in-law to Rachel Boruff and Joseph Boruff, a delightful grandson to Evelyn Bracken (East Peoria, Illinois) and an amazing Uncle to Shay and Kale. Preceded in death are grandparents: Belva and Ancil Lowe and Harold Bracken. Tyler loved his dear wife, family, friends and spending time with his two nephews.

As a child, Tyler was always on the farm with his Grandpa Harold. As a young boy, he picked up his first bass guitar, which was the beginning of many opportunities for Tyler. He attended Christian Life Academy and Illinois Central College in East Peoria, Illinois. He was an accomplished musician, which he knew was a "gift from the Lord Jesus" and through his talent he was able to be involved in many endeavors.

He was an upright bass player for the Central Illinois Youth Symphony. At the age of 16, toured across the country with the Young American Showcase band Shadetree playing bass guitar and spreading an "anti-bullying" message and the salvation of Jesus Christ to students across the US.

He also played double bass in the Central Illinois Youth Symphony and played for the Peoria Players in Broadway shows such as Brigadoon, Cats, and Dream Girls. He was a part of the Illinois Central College Jazz Band & Vocal Ensemble.

In 2007, Tyler moved to Nashville, Tennessee and began work at Music and Arts where he met his wife, Jennifer. He worked in Hendersonville and Murfreesboro Music and Arts locations for about 10 years teaching bass and guitar lessons and having over 60 students at a time. He also taught at the Murfreesboro Academy of Music. He was adored by his students and a sought after teacher.

In Nashville, he also played for many artists and traveled all across the world. He had the opportunity to play with artists such as Jack Pearson at B.B. King's in Nashville and Erin Kinsey in the Country to Country tour in London, England.

He was the Stream Sound Records tour manager and bass player for Dakota Bradley's High School Nation Tour; upright and electric bass on the ABC TV Show Nashville for "Scarlett"; bass guitar for Top 40 artist Austin Webb; bass player for America's Got Talent Winner Taylor Ware and bass player for The Voice artists Amber Carrington and Jeff Jenkins. He also played with the Joe Walker Band, The Wooten Brothers, opened up for John Schlitt (Petra), was Nashville's #1 Pick for Best Local Band, Starlume, and worked at Sony ATV. He played at numerous venues throughout Nashville and even played upright bass at the Grand Ole Opry in the movie "The Identical".

Tyler also enjoyed writing and recording his own music and had three of his own albums titled Balance, Polarity and Southern Road. He was well known for being a talented musician.

He played with several Worship Teams including Riverside Community Church Worship Team (Peoria, Illinois); Oasis Church Worship Team (Nashville, Tennessee) & LifePoint Church (Smyrna, Tennessee).

Tyler had many hobbies and was always excited to try new things. He loved the beautiful outdoor life of Tennessee and enjoyed hiking the Smoky Mountains with his wife, family and many friends. He especially loved duck hunting, fly fishing and watching the Chicago Cubs with his Dad.

Tyler will always be loved and remembered as the caring, happy and generous man who loved his Lord, family and friends with his whole heart. We are blessed with the wonderful memories he has given us. There will be a memorial service at a later date in Illinois.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 19, 2017 Bridges Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Little officiating.
