Keith A.Powers 12/8/21 ~ 12/26/02 ST. GEORGE/BOUNTIFUL, UT - Keith A. (Bud Malin) Powers, 81, passed away in his new home in St. George, UT, Thursday, December 26, 2002.He was born Dec 8, 1921 in Salt Lake City, UT to Blanche Malin Smith. He married Reva Fackrell Sept 22, 1944 at the Garden Park LDS Ward, Salt Lake City, UT. Keith (Bud), as he was called, was raised in Boun-tiful and Salt Lake and graduated from West High. He enlisted in the Navy in 1942 and served in the Sea Bee's as storekeeper in the Aleutian Islands and was honorably discharged in Nov, 1945. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 42 years. He held many positions as well as president in numerous Railroad organizations through the years. He worked as a reserve police officer in North Salt Lake for 15 years. He was always there for his children and grandchildren. He was the Best!!!! Bud is survived by his wife, Reva, St. George, UT; two daughters, Sandi (Lynn) Murri, Carol (Bob) Thiel, both of St. George, UT; two sons, Kim (Inge) Powers, St. George, UT, Todd (Cindy) Powers, Bountiful, UT; sister, Darlene (Malin) Smith, Murray, UT; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grand-children; and two great great-grand-children. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Malin and Leon Malin. Services will be Fri. Jan 3, 2003, 1 p.m. Bountiful Orchard LDS Stake Center, 3599 S. Orchard Dr, Bounti-ful, UT. A visitation will be Fri. 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m. prior to services at the Stake Center. Interment, Lakeview Memorial Cemetery, 1640 E. Lake-view Dr, Bountiful, UT (two blocks south of the LDS Temple).
