Ms. Eunice Mae Cross was born July 25, 1935 to the late Louis and Mossie Roberson. She departed this life on September 6, 2017.She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Cross, Jr. , her sister Odessa Toney and her brother Hersel Roberson.

Upon moving to Carthage and making this her home, she joined Bethel A.M.E. Church. She was a faithful member until her passing. She served as Stewardess, member of the Women’s Missionary Society and on Pastor’s Aide Committee. The West Arkansas Conference Lay Organization gave a Legacy Brunch , honoring person’s 80 plus years of age, Eunice was presented a certificate and a medallion at the Brunch. She was a loyal employee of the Carthage Nursing Home for 30 years and was a surrogate mother for her sister’s children.

She Leaves To Cherish Her Memories: Seven sons: Donald Cross, Rev. Willie (Gail) Toney, Jr, Rev. Marvin (Jeanette) Toney, Wayne (Suzette) Toney, Bishop Jeffery (Shirley) Toney, Charles (Lisa) Toney, and James (Vicki) Toney. Six daughters: Darlene Cross Lloyd, Dessie Johnson, Louise Erby, Dessie (David) Bradford, Regina Dickens, Mitzi Roberson (Kenny) Hill. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A special grandson: Quentin J. Owens. Caregivers: Carla Smith (family friend), Rilei Erby (nephew), and Deshaunda Randall (niece). And a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Bethel A.M.E. Church in Carthage, AR.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Bethel A.M.E. Church in Carthage, AR..

Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR
