Henry Doub was the son of Rev. John Doub and Mary Eve Spainhour. He married Elizabeth Margaret Ward on December 24, 1807 in Stokes County, North Carolina. They were the parents of Elijah, Nancy, Mary Lydia, John W., Margaret, Henry Cannon, Elizabeth, and William H. Doub.

Just a note on Bethania, but before 1771 it existed in Rowan County, then in 1771 it existed in Surry County (which was formed out of Rowan and Orange counties), then in 1849 it existed in what is now Forsyth County which was formed out of Stokes County. When you look at it in current day, it's in Forsyth, But going back in time it is shown in different counties, marriages, etc.
