Nathan King, age 42, of Berkeley Springs, WV, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at his home.

Nathan was born on June 11, 1975 in Flemington, NJ, the son of Stanley and Nancy Elizabeth McClung King, of Falling Waters, WV.

He was a graduate of Hunterdon Central High School in Flemington. During his life, he had served the communities in which he lived. Nathan was a member of the Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad. In 1998, he responded to 307 calls for a total of 402 hours as a volunteer member. In 2007, he moved to Berkeley Springs. From 2007 until 2017, he continued to serve his community by working as a correctional officer with the Eastern Regional Jail in Martinsburg at the rank of Corporal. He then worked with the Rappahannock Regional Jail in Stafford, VA at the rank of Sargent.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Jeffrey King of Hagerstown, MD and his golden retriever, Jager.

Services and interment will be private.
