Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Dodson, 96, of Lusby, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2007, at Solomons Nursing Center.

Born January 3, 1911, in Rousby, she was a daughter of the late Joseph E. and Mary Alice Gatton Hardesty. Her sister, the late Lottie Estelle Joy and her husband, the late Spencer F. Dodson predecease her.

Mrs. Dodson was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 61, Marlboro.

She was the mother of 2 children; a grandmother and great-grandmother of 8.

Mrs. Dodson lived for her family and she will be remembered by her dear friend Beulah Joy.

The family will receive friends at the Rausch Funeral Home, Lusby today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be held Monday March 12 at 11 a.m. at Olivet United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to Calvert Hospice, P.O. Box 838, Prince Frederick MD 20678 or Olivet United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 278, Lusby MD 20657.
