EVA REDIN HODGES of Wichita Falls went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 9, 2007. She was a daughter of the late Jim and Annie Redin, being born on Nov. 19, 1921, in Elk City Okla. Eva Redin and David Mearl Hodges were married Aug. 16, 1938, in Frederick, Okla., and raised four children. She believed her place to be in the home as a homemaker, giving unselfish love and care for her children and husband. She lived her life dedicated to serving the Lord and set the example for her children to follow. Eva was a longtime member of West Side Baptist Church and an active member of the Gleaners Sunday School class.

Eva was preceded in death by her husband; her mother and father; brother, James (called Son); sister, Ruth; and son-in-law, Allen Smith.

Eva is survived by son, Charles Wayne Hodges and wife, Florence of Corsicana, Texas; daughters, Ann Schelnik and husband, Jack, Lou Smith, and Dena Marlar Hutchens and husband, Gary, all of Wichita Falls; brother, Ralph Wayne Redin and wife, Maxine, of Anadarko, Okla.; brother-in-law, Charles Kenneth Hodges of Davidson, Okla.; and three sisters-in-law: Alice Wallace, Jane Wynn, and Anita Givens. She is also survived by grandchildren; Tammy Garcia, Michael Schelnik, Jennifer Groce, Brandi Smith, Amee Hodges, Jazzmin Gillispie, and Nickolas Marlar, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to all those who cared for Mother while she was at Texoma Christian Care Center the last few years of her life.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2007, at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Chapel with Reverend Tommy Free of West Side Baptist Church and Reverend Jim McCurley officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hampton Vaughan Crestview.
