The recent (May 2021) photo's of individuals posted on Len's memorial while well meaning, are incorrectly attributed to/mistaken identity. The photo purportedly of Leonard is unconfirmed and has not been corroborated by any other closer in relation family members. The other matching couple photo's are not Leonard, nor his parents Asa and Mary Hotham. The Asa of this posted photo was the son of Nathaniel Kinney. The woman in the accompanying photo is this Asa's wife, Martha Shannon, born in Ireland, incorrectly attributed to be Aurilla (Williams) Kinney.
"Len" was born the son of Asa Kinney and Mary Hotham. He was married first to his first cousin Ruth O'Neal, daughter of John O'Neal and Elizabeth Kinney and had 3 known children with her before she died, Austin, Emily D. "Emma" and Thomas, he then married Aurilla (Rilla) Williams the mother of the remainder of his offspring.
