Joyce is survived by two daughters, Barbara Dorsch of Mishawaka, IN, and Christine Gruber of Houston, TX; son, Kevin W. (Julie) Dorsch of Van Wert, OH; five grandchildren, Nathan Gruber of Fort Wayne, IN, Jamie Dorsch, Sean Dorsch, Noah Dorsch and Joshua Dorsch, all of Van Wert, OH; one great-grandchild, Makaila Taylor Gruber; three sisters, Jeanette (Carl) Fullmer of Mishawaka, IN, Virginia (Victor) Geeseman of North Liberty, IN, and Esther (Dean) Shoue of North Liberty, IN; two brothers, Dale (Pat) Naragon of Columbia City, IN, and Ken Naragon of Lakeville, IN; and sister-in-law, Becky Naragon of N. Manchester, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Ralph Naragon, Jr.
Joyce moved to Mishawaka three years ago from Fort Wayne, IN. She was a preacher's wife for forty years, traveling and living in several states. She retired in 2013 as an LPN. She enjoyed gardening and helping in the family bakery “Over the Top Bakery” in North Liberty. Joyce was a member of My Father's House in Fort Wayne and World Harvest Church in Elkhart where she was very active. Joyce loved the Lord and sharing her faith with others. She was an exceptional health care advocate for her daughter, Barbara.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 18, 2017, at North Liberty Church of the Brethren, 201 E. Market Street, North Liberty, IN. Graveside services and burial will follow at Westlawn Cemetery, North Liberty. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday at Palmer Funeral Home, 202 N. Michigan St., North Liberty, IN.
