At this date 9.15.17 as far as I know there has been no marriage license/s found for my 3GGGM Elizabeth Lloyd? Clendenen (various spellings) who knew/1 my 3GGGF Charles? Clendenen and gave birth to her 1st child my 2GGF Charles (Clendenen) Drew (c. 1812-c.1902), in Orange Co., NC.; 3GGGM knew/2 John Drew (some believe his middle name was Robert) and had children: James "Isaac" (1816/20-aft 1850); *Katherine (1818-1911); Sarah "Sally" (1822/24-1880); John (1823-1890); Ephraim (1831-aft 1880) and Armstrong (1832/34-????); all probably born in Orange Co., NC. *Your daughter Katherine (Catherine) Drew Marley (1818-1911) supposedly married a William Henry Marley (1815-1907) and they had a daughter Vergie Marley married FNU MCKinney and they had a daughter Evelyn McKinney who "very" strongly believe your afore mentioned children by John Robert Drew were fathered by a Benjamin Drew. See flowers under the name of Evelyn McKinney for her information.
Orally it was passed down that my 2GGF Charles' biological father was an unknown man by the name of Clendenen but he would take his step-father John Robert? Drew's surname. The 67 marker yDNA test I took about 10 years ago was an almost perfect match (in 1 case only 1 degree off) to the male descendants of Irish Immigrant William Clendenen (c1726-c1801) last of Orange Co., NC. Then about 2 or 3 years ago I took the FamilyTree autosomal DNA test (male & female) and it matched Barry Drew Lindley's DNA at about a 3rd cousin degree. Barry is the great-grandson of Rev. John Drew a half brother of my 2GGF Charles (Clendenen) Drew and the only way our DNA could have match was by sharing ancestor Elizabeth Lloyd? Clendenen Drew.
I took my Clendenen family research to Orange Co., KY and found a couple of good pieces of circumstantial evidence that connected me to aforesaid Immigrant William Clendenen which interesting enough I would find myself introduced to a Stephen & Martha Morris Lloyd family of which 3GGM Elizabeth Lloyd? Clendenen Drew could fit into. How I was introduced to this Lloyd family was by way of possible 4GGGGP William & Martha Graham? Clendenen's son James Clendenen being the marriage bondman for Stephen & Martha Morris Lloyd, Sr.'s son Stephen Lloyd, Jr. married Mary "Polly" Edwards, 20 Oct. 1800, Orange Co., NC... Throw into that there's the weird incident of Stephen Lloyd, Sr. being killed by his slave Isaac about the same time 1791 our mullato Elizabeth Lloyd? Clendenen Drew was born.
