"Warren M. Stewart, 59, died suddenly this morning, at 6 o'clock at his home, 78 Division Street. He had been in ill health, due to leakage of the heart, for the past two weeks, but when he retired last night he seemed unusually well. He suffered an attack about 5:45 o'clock this morning, and died before the family physician arrived. He was born in the Stewart homestead on Pearl Street February 25, 1874, a son of Nelson S. and Anna Caroline Ouderkirk Stewart, and always lived in this city. He was a grand-nephew of the late Stephen Sanford. For 43 years he worked in the Sanford mills as a color mixer. He was a lover of outdoor activities, although his home was his main interest, and he enjoyed the esteem of many friends. The survivors are his wife, who was Anna Barrup of Sloansville; one brother, Curtis Stewart. Freehold, N. J.; a sister, Mrs. George Armitage, Oxford. N. Y., and several nieces and nephews."
