Funeral services for Oscar George Ross (O.G. Ross), 85, of Angleton will be Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Bibleway Baptist Church, 201 E. Miller St. in Angleton, TX with Pastor Alonzo Brown, Sr., officiating. Burial will follow at Knights and Daughters Cemetery in Rosharon, TX.
He passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 at his residence in Angleton, TX.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Ida and Frank Ross, Sr. (F.L. Sr.); ex-wife, Jerlene; 4 step-children; two sisters, Ida Mae Ross Godley (James, Sr.) and Lena M. Ross Valentine (Ruben); brothers, M.C. Ross (Elizabeth), F.L. Ross Jr. (Minnie Mae), Cleaven Ross (Dorothy), Amos Ross (Luerissie) and Clyde Ross, Sr.
O.G. is survived by his son, Michael Oscar Williams of Rosharon; grandson, Phil Reeves of Damon; step daughter, Herlene Hampton of Houston; special loving and dedicated niece and nephew, Gwendolyn and Robert Curtis, Sr. of Angleton; 2 brothers-in-law, George Crawford of Houston and Ruben Valentine of Alabama; sisters-in-law, Aria Ross, Georgia Cooks and Lula Preston of Rosharon ; 3 great grandchildren; Kyia Reeves, Marcus Reeves and Kobe Reeves of Rockport and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
