Oscar Bryant Lively was born October 26, 1929, in Pontotoc, TX., the son of Richard Jason and Ida (Scevers) Lively. On Monday, September 27, 2004, Oscar passed away at the age of 74.

Oscar joined the Army National Guard in 1949 and served until 1952. He married Shirley Jean Moore in Big Spring, TX. on June 3, 1960, and they lived in California from 1963 to 1974, when they moved to Abilene. He had been a member of Abilene Gospel Tabernacle for about 17 years. He retired as a maintenance worker for Reagan Elementary and McMurry University. He loved fishing and watching football.

He is survived by two daughters, Sue Lively, and Judy Williams, both of Abilene; and two grandchildren, Sherri and Bobby Williams, also of Abilene.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley in 1986; Three Brothers and Two Sisters.
