Geraldine Kessler, age 88, of New Washington, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at the Bucyrus Community Hospital. She was born June 26, 1929 in Bettsville, Ohio to the late Cleveland and Hazel (Greene) Swartzmiller. She was a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church in New Washington and had worked at General Electric in Bucyrus. She enjoyed following The Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Cavs.

She is survived by 4 children, Joe (Bobbie) Kessler of Crestline, Ohio, Linda Kessler of Bucyrus, Bernard (Nancy) Kessler of New Washington and Tom Kessler of New Washington; 2 grandsons, Justin Kessler of Attica and Gabe (Jennifer) Kessler of Mansfield; 1 great granddaughter, Addie Kessler; one sister, Ladora Studer of New Washington; one sister-in-law, Jean Evenden of Troy, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Kessler; 2 daughters-in-law, Pam Adams Kessler and Shelley Burge Kessler; 4 siblings, Joe Swartzmiller, Gouldy Flood, Helen Pine and Arminta Kanieski.
