Don D. Young of Enloe, Texas passed away at his home on Sept. 11, 2016. He was born on April 9, 1929 in Enloe. He was the son of John Faulton and Agnes Jones Young. He married Billie June Regan in Mt. Joy on June 6, 1948.

He served in the U.S. Navy at the end of World War II, stationed on Attu Alaska in 1946. He worked as an auto mechanic over 60 years. He worked as the Delta County Constable for 12 years and was retired. He was a member of the Roxton Masonic Lodge and Paris York Rite Masons. He was a member for 39 years. He served as District Deputy Grand Master in 1998. He was among the first Concealed Handgun License instructors in Delta County.

He is survived by his wife, Billie, his two daughters Donna Capell of Palestine, and Delores Green of Farmers Branch; his two sons Martin Dale of Enloe and Dinzle Don Jr. of Cooper; 13 Grandchildren, and 28 Great-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Robert William.

A memorial service is scheduled for Oct. 8 at 2 p.m. at the Enloe Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Clara Foster Slough Museum in Enloe, Texas in his honor.
